Global Hospital-Acquired Infection Control Market growing fast in 2022 and worth over USD 28 billion. Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are a major problem in #hospitals worldwide. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (#cdc ) has estimated that, in the United States, approximately 99,000 deaths each year are related to HAIs.

The infections may occur in a rehabilitation facility, while receiving medical treatment for a wound, in an outpatient surgery center, hospital, or any other treatment facility. HAI occurs when bacteria or virus is able to enter a patient’s body due to the presence of a variety of microorganisms like fungi, bacteria, viruses, or parasites and the infections can be of different types including ear infections, eye infections, sexually transmitted diseases, intestinal infections, lungs or respiratory disorders. Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) made very good video to show you.
